ENFP-AH: says yes at full speed and means every word of it
The usual complaint about ENFPs is that they start everything and finish nothing. This corner does not have that problem and has a different one. The A axis means you commit rather than keep the field open, and the H axis means you commit out loud, with people, enthusiastically. That gets a lot moving. It also means the yes arrives before the arithmetic does.
What ENFP-AH actually means
The A axis means you close. When something feels right, you are in, and you sort out the details from inside rather than deciding whether to enter.
The H axis means you bring people with you. You are genuinely interested in them, you notice who is left out, and your enthusiasm is contagious in a way that is not a technique.
Fi sits second, so the commitment is not impulsive in the way it looks from outside. It is a value judgement arriving quickly and being acted on immediately, which is a different thing from acting without judging.
For accuracy: the A/O and H/C axes come from the APESK 64-type model, which sits alongside MBTI rather than inside it. They describe variation within a type, not an extra category. Two separate things get written the same way, so it is worth being explicit: the A and O here are the APESK assertive-and-deliberating axis. They are not the A and T (Assertive and Turbulent) that 16Personalities adds to its own codes. Different model, different axis, same-looking letter.
What it looks like on an ordinary day
You said yes before you had checked the calendar, and you did mean it, and the calendar is now a problem.
You can turn a room around, and you do it without planning to, and afterwards you are genuinely surprised that it worked.
You notice the person nobody is talking to within about ninety seconds of walking in.
When something violates what you believe, you say so at the time, which most people find either brave or uncomfortable.
The recurring cost: Si sits last, so you have limited access to how much last time took out of you when deciding about this time.

How ENFP-AH differs from the other three ENFP subtypes
ENFP-AH vs ENFP-OH. Same warmth, opposite tempo. OH keeps options open and ends up advising rather than doing. You commit, so you are the one who actually starts things and the one holding them at 2am.
ENFP-AH vs ENFP-AC. Same speed, opposite exposure. AC commits just as fast and does it privately, so nobody is brought along. You commit publicly, which multiplies the effect and also multiplies who is depending on it.
ENFP-AH vs ENFP-OC. The opposite corner. OC explores alone and closes nothing. To an OC you look like you leap. To you an OC looks like someone who never gets to find out.
If people describe you as inspiring and you privately feel over-committed most of the time, that pairing is this corner.
With other people
You give people an unusual amount of attention and belief, and it is genuine, and it attracts far more relationships than any one person can maintain at that intensity.
Fi second means you take things to heart quietly even while being outwardly warm about them, and people who only see the warm part are surprised when something turns out to have mattered.
The specific friction is the enthusiastic yes followed by the quiet renegotiation. Both are honest. The other person experiences the first as a promise and the second as a change of heart.
Where it costs you, and what helps
The cost is not the speed and not the warmth. It is that Si is your least developed function, so the record of what things actually cost you is thin, and you are making fast commitments without it.
The concrete change is external memory rather than more willpower. Write down what each commitment actually took, in hours, once. You will not remember accurately, and you will believe you do. A written record is the missing function.
The second one is a delay only on the yes. Not on decisions in general, which you are good at, just on commitments involving your time. Twenty-four hours does not dull your judgement and it lets the calendar into the conversation.
None of this asks you to be less generous. It asks for a record of what generous has been costing.
Common questions
Why do I say yes to things I do not have time for?
Because the judgement and the accounting live in different places and only one of them is fast. Fi tells you quickly whether something is worth doing, and with the A axis you act on that immediately. Si, which holds the detailed record of what similar things have cost you before, sits last in this stack and does not arrive in time to participate. So the yes is sincere and under-informed, every time, and no amount of resolving to be more careful fixes a missing input.
Am I an ENFP or an ESFP?
The difference is whether the first move is a possibility or a present moment. An ENFP leads with Ne, so the pull is toward what something could become and connections between things that are not here yet. An ESFP leads with Se, so the pull is toward what is actually in front of you right now, in detail. Both are warm, fast and socially capable. An ENFP-AH commits to an idea about where this could go; an ESFP commits to what is happening.
What is the difference between ENFP-AH and ENFP-AC?
They share the fast commitment and differ in whether anyone else is brought into it. An ENFP-AC decides quickly and largely privately, which keeps the obligations contained. An ENFP-AH decides quickly and out loud, which multiplies both the momentum and the number of people now depending on the decision. The AH version accomplishes more and carries more, and the carrying is the part that is not visible until it is heavy.
Does the 64-type model have solid evidence?
Thinner than its presentation suggests. The sixteen-type layer descends from Jungian theory via MBTI, which has known test-retest reliability problems and imposes categories on traits that are continuous. The A/O and H/C axes come from the APESK model, built on a large self-selected online sample rather than a representative population study. It is a useful vocabulary for variation people already notice. Treat exact percentages with suspicion, including any on this site.
What is more specific than a type page?
Something that starts from you rather than from a category shared with millions of people. The free 37-system chart engine reads your own birth data across thirty-seven separate systems and shows where those readings agree about you and where they contradict each other. No account and no payment. For this corner it has one specific use: it is a record of something about you that does not depend on you remembering it, which is exactly the thing this pattern is short of.
Keep going
If you want the version that is about you rather than about the category, it has to start from something that is yours. No account and nothing to pay, and it is a record that does not depend on you remembering, which is what this pattern is short of.
